In 2018 over 130,674 young people voted to say that having a curriculum for life is the most important issue to them. This is because young people recognise the importance of whole life learning, essential to their development and future. They aren’t the only ones who think that.
The OECD also states that “Education is no longer about teaching students something alone; it is more important to be teaching them to develop a reliable compass and the navigational tools to find their own way in a world that is increasingly complex, uncertain and volatile”.
It is clear that whole life learning is no longer a luxury but an essential part of our education system. To that end C4L is ensuring that everyone can access a curriculum which embraces these principles, ensuring that whole life learning is at the root of everything we do.
